This ring started from my curiosity & appetite for working a piece out of Ebony...I already had in mind this beautiful yellow beryl  stone that I thought would look incredible against the dark wood...

As I started sculpting & carving, I decided to dedicate this piece to a fellow Jewelry artisan friend whose Arabic roots (Egyptian father) were always present during our chatter...The Ebony, the majestic stone, the ankh gold inset inside the ring, the tailor made crown bezel...everything in this ring speaks of a true African Queen... not to mention the added reference to the glamour  and hot spell from the iconic John Huston movie classic...
