The Inspiration/"Raison d'etre"
This piece started from an exceptionnal 5 carats emerald cut diamond of the best quality: rather than a predictible classic prong setting a la Tiffany of Harry Winston,.. I wanted an opulent looking cocktail accent that would make it funkier and more dramatic whilst adding a unique feature: this came in the form of interchangeable ceramic top covers , one white for the daytime, the other high gloss black proving a dressy look and stark contrast witht the top color grade of the central diamond.The quilted texture of that cover adds a wink to a French Fashion classic that blends style and elegance with the pure mineral beauty of the gem.A baguettes halo around the central stone adds a little dramatic effect.This 100 grams of best grade Platinum ring is only an appopriate showcase for a very special diamond.The name is a casual French coloquial term of endearment commonly used to cheer your friends with a touch of irony and slight upper lip...
