When I came across that 28 ct cube of a raw stone in Tanzania, I decided that its color and transparency was worth the risk buying  for some later piece. After thought and initial design, I had it carved and polished by a stone cutter to shape it into a flat sugar loaf cabochon that would be the center stone of a ring or a pendant. It morphed into a bracelet design for my Hubby to feature that center piece : I came up with an Art Deco flavor for an original  I.D. /link bracelet that would feature his initials. After hand drawings and multiple CAD adaptations, we cast this jewelry piece in platinum and had it adorned with topaz baguettes and custom cut fluted rock crystal bars on each side of the square frame. The result is an extravagant version of an I.D. bracelet with reminder of retro Art Deco vibes when opulence and mix of stones was not uncommon and fit for my 21st century Grand Poobah of a husband...
